Here I am showing off my armpits! I don’t do that very much, do you? Despite that, I am sharing them online because I’d like to talk about armpits with you. And toxins. And things.
I’m wondering, are you concerned about using toxic ingredients in your personal care products, such as deodorant? If you are, read on!
Some of the concerning ingredients in found in deodorants include propylene glycol, parabens, triclan, methenamine, bleach and aluminium, and of course, there are many more! Did you know that ‘Aluminium chlorohydrate and aluminium-zirconium tetrachlorohydrate gly are the most frequent active ingredients in commercial antiperspirants. Aluminium-based complexes react with the electrolytes in the sweat to form a gel plug in the duct of the sweat gland.’ (sourced from Wikipedia)
Apparently science has found no link between Breast Cancer and Aluminium. I can’t help wondering though, if I’m applying a deodorant that contains aluminium and other toxic ingredients to my armpits (close to my lymph glands and perfectly made to remove the toxins from my body) once or twice a day over a whole lifetime, how many of those toxins am I actually absorbing into my bloodstream? And where do they go? And how does my body respond to them? It might surprise you to know that after applying anything to our skin, it is absorbed into the bloodstream in only 26 seconds. Let me say that again, 26 seconds.
Our bodies are so miraculous! So keeping this in mind, is it really worth it, when there is a Tox Free option that actually works?
There’s no need to apply and reapply poison to your armpits every morning for the rest of your life.

In my experience, the very basics of self care begin when we become aware the toxins we allow in our homes and our bodies. Awareness takes time. Once we become aware, changing one thing at a time is a powerful thing to do. It is a beautiful process.
You deserve it.
